Saddle up for the best summer yet

Do you want to have the trip of a lifetime this summer?  Join us in Montana for a prehistoric excursion.

You'll learn a lot about paleontology, but what will stick with you are the new friends and great memories.

Julie and I will be grateful for your help making the Indiana Dinosaur Museum into the best small dinosaur museum in America.

Your hands and your hard work will chape the future of our museum and increase man's knowledge of our ancient past.

    •  There are many camp traditions- not going to bed until someone spots a shooting star is one tradition that’s hard to miss.

Rain doesn’t happen often, but when it does it makes the perfect day to do laundry, visit area attractions, play games, or just sleep in.

Good physical health. Normally there will not be much hiking. So, you do not need to be able to run a marathon. However, our dig site is at a 4,800 feet above sea level and the sun can be hard to deal with. Expect cool mornings and hot afternoons. Dress in layers and in more ranch wear than Patagonia. Only closed toe shoes- no sandals or crocs. Jeans are good as are work shirts. Please bring sunscreen, sun glasses, water bottles, asprin, and a flexible attitude. The temperature can hit triple digits.

Simply said you will learn about how much effort goes into bringing dinosaurs back to life. Every fossil must be carefully found, dug up, plastered, cataloged, and transported back to our lab. We will teach you the step-by-step process that is required of a paleontologist. Giving you insight into a rarely seen world.

    •  Depending on interest, we will customize informal discussion, guest lectures with field training
    •  There is also a field library filled in scientific books tailored to the site and the dinosaurs being excavated.
